Links need to actually be of interest to the reader. They must be relevant to the reader’s concerns and answer a question, provide advice, show images or do something else that is beneficial to the reader. This might sound tough, but it’s really not. If you want to start driving high-quality traffic to your website and find keywords with realistic search volumes, you need to seek out keywords with more search phrases, or “long-tail” keywords, over short ones. Technical SEO refers to the technical aspects of on-page SEO like site speed, indexability, and mobile responsiveness. The term “technical” can turn a lot of people away from this aspect of SEO. Don’t let it scare you! It is not nearly as intimidating as it sounds. For larger websites, especially those within e-commerce leanings, there are huge SEO wins to be had with snippet optimization.
How are you supposed to audit your site structure
Is the page load time excessive? Too long a load time may slow down crawling and indexing of the site. Like desktop content, mobile
pages need to load fast. Slow loading pages rank lower in Google results. Google has a handy tool called PageSpeed Insights that will tell you how fast your pages are on both mobile and desktop browsers. Wouldn’t it be great to give Google & Bing a list of all the pages we want them to notice? With XML sitemaps you can do just that. This is a file you add to your website (normally at yourdomain.uk/sitemap.xml) that lists the URLs for a site. Most CMSs can create one automatically for you, and let you choose to remove certain pages. "The more, the better" saying doesn’t go for links. At least not as long as "more" means links you buy without checking if they are risky for your backlink profile or not. You’d better aim for fewer high-quality links, then for thousands of links that bring no value to your backlink profile. Weak or risky backlinks won’t help your rankings at all. It can go even worst. These links can get you a Google penalty and severe (if not 100%) loss of organic traffic.
Keyword Placement Matters, Not Frequency
Make your descriptive tag engaging. Google and other search platforms will use it to create that little blurb about your site. Users often read these before deciding whether or not to visit a site. Concise, descriptive blurbs draw visitors to your site, sometimes even before sites that rank higher than yours in a search. It’s psychological; our brains
love lists. If you create some cool list, there is a big chance that people will click on it and later share it. If you’ve written your content so that Google can understand it, you’re already doing a great job. Repeatedly building over-optimized, spammy backlinks overtime will lead to a penalty.
Never back down from a challenge
Crafting quality titles for product pages, articles, blog posts, lists and all other written content is what gets that content noticed by search engines. It might not make sense at first, but long and ugly titles containing lots of descriptive information are actually the best types of titles around. Focus your time and energy on big-picture items that influence your SEO. These begin with the all-important user experience, great quality content, and relevancy to your website. Of course, the mechanisms that tell search engines about your site are crucial; quality subject matter comes from the depth of your content, your social media signals, your backlink profile, technical issues with your site and your internal linking to other relevant pages. Launching a new website without putting 301 redirects in place
is literally committing SEO suicide. Not only will you lose all of
your past SEO history, your rankings (and traffic!) will plummet.

How the canonical tag can hurt your search engine rankings
SEO is not hard. It does, however take time – it involves technical tweaks on your website, competitive analysis/content strategy, and building links from around the web. Figuring out which keywords
you should focus on to get the most traffic to your site can be rather daunting. For many people, it’s hard to assess their chances to rank in the search engines. From a quality page point of view, duplicate content is a low-quality indicator. Boilerplate text is another low-quality indicator. The benefit of getting links from networks is low, whereas the risk of being penalised and losing rankings is high. Marketing is all about ROI. If you believe you can get a return on investment using only PBN links, then DO IT. For most people, it’s best to take the safe route and use more evergreen tactics.
